Jyanai Hō no Seijo to Yūsha Gets Manga Adaptation
A new isekai story is officially making the jump to the manga world. The latest issue of Weekly Shōnen Champion revealed that Yui Hanaka’s web novel, Jyanai Hō no Seijo to Yūsha, will receive a Jyanai Hō Manga Adaptation illustrated by Nini Senbonki. Specifically, the series will debut digitally in Champion Buzz’s 29th issue on February 5. Consequently, fans of the genre can look forward to a fresh twist on classic summoning tropes. Initially, the announcement sparked interest due to the original novel’s popularity.
A Twist on Isekai Tropes
The story follows high school students Hana Isshiki and Kotarou Okumura. Initially, they find themselves transported to a fantasy world after a mysterious ritual. However, a major problem arises as they realize they are neither the chosen saint nor the destined hero. Furthermore, the Jyanai Hō Manga Adaptation explores their struggle to survive in an unfamiliar world without a way home. Notably, as the two characters grow stronger, they begin to question their supposed “not-chosen” status. Moreover, they slowly awaken mysterious abilities of their own that defy expectations.

Author Background and Original Work
Yui Hanaka originally launched the web novel on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō platform in December 2022. Since then, it has gained significant attention for subverting classic isekai elements. Notably, the author is also known for BL Game Rebirth, another successful project that concluded in March 2024. In addition, that series also received a successful manga version, establishing Hanaka as a versatile writer. Therefore, the Jyanai Hō Manga Adaptation carries high expectations from the existing fanbase. Ultimately, this new project aims to reach a broader global audience through its digital release.
Future Expectations for the Series
With its debut just around the corner, the series asks what happens when the “wrong” people are summoned. Currently, many readers appreciate stories that challenge traditional fantasy narratives. In conclusion, the Jyanai Hō Manga Adaptation promises to be a standout title in the upcoming February lineup. Specifically, Akita Publishing continues to strengthen its digital catalog with these unique adaptations. Therefore, make sure to follow the first chapters to see how Hana and Kotarou navigate their new reality.
