Baki-Dou Anime 2026 Premieres on Netflix

The Baki-Dou anime Netflix 2026 is set to debut worldwide on February 26. This new season will release all 13 episodes at once, giving fans a binge-worthy experience. Naoya Uchida stars as Miyamoto Musashi, bringing one of the most iconic fighters of the series to life.

The opening theme song, “Furuboko”, is performed by the rock band WANIMA, while the ending theme, “Mountain Top”, is sung by singer-songwriter Novel Core. Fans can expect intense fight sequences, detailed animation, and the classic Baki energy that has made the franchise legendary.

Background: The Baki Manga Series

Keisuke Itagaki’s original Baki The Grappler manga ran in Weekly Shōnen Champion from 1991 to 1999, spanning 42 volumes. Kodama Tales later published the series in English worldwide.

Following this, the Baki sequel manga ran from 1999 to 2005 for 31 volumes. Afterward, Itagaki released the 37-volume Hanma Baki series from 2005 to 2012. The first Baki-Dou manga launched in 2014, ended in 2018, and a new Baki-Dou manga ran from 2018 to 2023. The latest franchise entry, Baki Rahen, began in August 2023.
