Dolls Nest Game Gets Manga Adaptation Launching This March
Kadokawa’s Young Ace magazine has revealed an exciting update for mecha fans. The hit action game from Nitroplus and Nitro Arts is officially expanding its universe. The Dolls Nest Manga Launch is set for this March under the title Dolls Nest: ORPHANS.
Creative Team Behind ORPHANS
The series will debut on Kadokawa’s Young Ace Up platform. The adaptation brings together manga artist Nykken and writer Satoshi Maejima. Nykken is well-known for the series Toxic Super Beasts (Yūgai Chōjū), which concluded in late 2024. This new project marks a highly anticipated return to the platform for the artist.

From Steam to Manga Panels
The original Dolls Nest game made waves when it launched on Steam in April 2025. Developed by Nitroplus and their graphics team, Nitro Arts, this 3D action title features “mecha girls” exploring the mysterious factory complex of Hod. Much like the complex world-building we see in other recent hits like [Our Last Crusade Final], Dolls Nest focuses on uncovering hidden truths within a mechanical world.
A Growing Franchise
With the game already building a dedicated player base, the Dolls Nest Manga Launch aims to dive deeper into the lore of Hod. Fans of the game can expect a more detailed look at the mechanical depths and the “orphans” surviving within them.
While many series are currently announcing their endgames—such as the recent updates on [Our Last Crusade Final Battle]—Dolls Nest is just beginning its journey into new media. For English-speaking fans, Titan Manga has previously handled Nykken’s work, raising hopes for a future Western release of this new adaptation.
Editor’s Note: Are you ready to return to the world of Hod? The transition from high-octane 3D action to manga storytelling is always a challenge, but with Nykken’s track record, the visuals are sure to be stunning.
