TSUKUYOMI Switch RPG Launch: Kazuma Kaneko’s Dark Fantasy

The official TSUKUYOMI Switch RPG Launch is officially on the horizon, bringing a major shift for the deck-building series. Japanese developer Colopl recently announced that the new title will arrive for Nintendo Switch on April 23, 2026. This release serves as an offline evolution of the original TSUKUYOMI – The Divine Hunters, which will shut down its service just one day earlier. Consequently, the TSUKUYOMI Switch RPG Launch represents a permanent way for fans to preserve the experience without a constant internet connection.

Transferring Your Favorite Cards

Players migrating from the original mobile and PC versions receive a special benefit during the transition. Specifically, they can transfer three random cards from their favorites list directly into the Switch release. Moreover, the new edition introduces an additional character and expanded story content to deepen the narrative. In addition, the developer reworked the user interface and adjusted the overall gameplay balance for a better console experience. Notably, unlike the previous versions, the Switch edition will not use generative AI for card creation, focusing instead on traditional illustrations.

Exploring the Demon-Infested Hashira

The story centers on four Jinma Hunters who explore a massive, demon-infested skyscraper known as “The Hashira.” Each hunter offers a distinct playstyle and a unique strategic approach to combat. Initially, the project was teased as “Project Mask,” a concept centered on the idea of creating a “god.” The dark fantasy atmosphere feels incredibly familiar to long-time RPG fans. Furthermore, the TSUKUYOMI Switch RPG Launch highlights the meticulous world-building that Colopl aims to deliver with this offline transition.

The Legacy of Kazuma Kaneko

Kazuma Kaneko remains a legendary figure in the industry, known for shaping the visual identity of the Shin Megami Tensei and Persona franchises. After leaving Atlus in 2023, he joined Colopl to bring his dark, symbolic art style to new audiences. In conclusion, the TSUKUYOMI Switch RPG Launch is a closely watched project because of his involvement. Fans of dark fantasy and tactical deck-builders should mark their calendars for this April release.
