Skeleton Knight in Another World Season 2 Sets July Premiere
The second season of Skeleton Knight in Another World officially confirms a July premiere. During the Overlap Bunko All-Star Gathering Special 2026, the production team revealed a new teaser promotional video and a fresh key visual. Specifically, the event shared an updated staff lineup and confirmed the return of the Norwegian singer PelleK for the opening theme. Consequently, fans can now prepare for Arc’s return to the fantasy world this summer.

Returning and New Staff Updates
Director Katsumi Ono returns to helm the second season at Studio Aura. Initially, the team confirmed that character designer Tōru Imanishi and sound director Satoshi Motoyama will also reprise their roles. Furthermore, several notable staff changes occurred for the new production. Notably, Toshizō Nemoto takes over series composition, while Jia Fang Lu joins as the new art director. Moreover, Tomotaka Aoki serves as the CGI director to enhance the visual effects for the upcoming battles.

The main cast from the first season remains intact for the sequel. In addition, Tomoaki Maeno returns as Arc alongside Ai Fairouz as Arianne. Therefore, the chemistry between the lead characters will continue to drive the narrative forward. The story originally follows a gamer who awakens inside the skeletal body of his avatar. Currently, the franchise remains popular through its light novel series by Ennki Hakari and its ongoing manga adaptation. Ultimately, Season 2 marks a major milestone for the isekai fantasy genre in 2026.

The first season of Skeleton Knight in Another World premiered in April 2022 and followed Arc, a gamer who awakens in a fantasy world trapped inside the skeletal body of his in-game avatar. Armed with powerful gear but cursed with an intimidating appearance, Arc embarks on a journey filled with magic, conflict, and unexpected alliances.
The original light novel series by Ennki Hakari debuted online in 2014 before being published by Overlap, with an ongoing manga adaptation illustrated by Akira Sawano.
With returning talent, new creative additions, and a summer release window locked in, Season 2 is shaping up to be a major return for the isekai fantasy series.
