The new manga once again centers on Cain C. Hargreaves, a 17-year-old aristocrat living in Victorian England. Now the head of the noble Hargreaves family, Cain inherits both its vast fortune and its deeply tragic, twisted past. Known for his fascination with poisons and his sharp intellect, Cain finds himself unraveling dark mysteries while being relentlessly pursued by the secret society Delilah, an organization tied to his family’s horrific history and the disturbing truth behind his own birth.

Kaori Yuki originally launched the Earl Cain manga in 1991 in Bessatsu Hana to Yume, later moving to Hana to Yume, where it concluded in 1994 with five collected volumes. The sequel series Godchild ran from 2001 to 2003, releasing eight volumes in total.

Viz Media has published both Earl Cain and Godchild in English, along with several other Kaori Yuki titles including Angel Sanctuary, Fairy Cube, and Grand Guignol Orchestra. Additional works by Yuki have been released in English by Yen Press and Kodansha USA Publishing.

Yuki is also currently serializing Angel Sanctuary: Tokyo Chronos on Hana Yume Ai, which is scheduled to conclude with its fifth volume on January 20.
