Frieren Season 2 Drops Main Trailer and Theme Song Details
TOHO animation has released the highly anticipated main promotional video for Frieren Season 2. Specifically, the new video previews the opening theme song titled “lulu,” which is performed by the popular group Mrs. Green Apple. This trailer offers a fresh look at the upcoming season’s atmosphere and emotional tone. Consequently, excitement is reaching a fever pitch as the premiere date approaches.
New Cast and Broadcast Schedule
Alongside the video release, a significant cast addition was announced. Initially, veteran voice actor Kazuhiko Inoue will join Frieren Season 2 as the Southern Hero. The new season is scheduled to premiere on January 16. Furthermore, Crunchyroll will stream the series worldwide outside of Asia. For the ending theme, singer-songwriter milet returns with a new song titled “The Story of Us,” written specifically for this adaptation.

Production Staff and Studio Changes
The second season sees some changes in the creative team at studio Madhouse. In addition, Tomoya Kitagawa takes over as the main director, while original director Keiichirō Saitō remains in a support role. However, Evan Call continues to compose the atmospheric soundtrack that fans loved in the first season. Character designs are now led by a new team including Takasemaru and Keisuke Kojima. Because of these adjustments, fans are curious to see how the visual style evolves.

Success of the Manga and Anime
