Dolls Nest Game Gets Manga Adaptation Launching This March
Kadokawa’s Young Ace magazine revealed in its February issue that manga artist Nykken and writer Satoshi Maejima are teaming up to launch a manga adaptation of Nitroplus and Nitro Arts’ mecha girl action game Dolls Nest. Titled Dolls Nest: ORPHANS, the series is set to debut in March on Kadokawa’s Young Ace Up manga platform, with Nykken handling the artwork and Maejima writing the script.

The original Dolls Nest game launched for PC via Steam in April 2025, developed by Nitroplus alongside its graphics team Nitro Arts. The 3D action title puts players in control of a mecha girl exploring a massive factory complex in the world of Hod, gradually uncovering the truth hidden within its mechanical depths.
Nykken is no stranger to Young Ace Up, having previously serialized Toxic Super Beasts (Yūgai Chōjū) on the platform beginning in March 2022. That series concluded in October 2024, with Kadokawa releasing its fourth and final collected volume the following month. The manga was licensed by Titan Manga, which is set to publish the third English volume on April 28.
