PokéPark Kanto Reveals First Look Ahead of Grand Opening
PokéPark Kanto has begun showing its full shape as Japanese media outlets released photos and video footage from the upcoming attraction, offering fans their first real look at the world’s first permanent outdoor Pokémon theme park.
Newly shared images highlight a wide range of Pokémon, themed attractions, food items, and merchandise that visitors will encounter inside the park. Video footage provides a brief glimpse of the sheer scale of the project, featuring over 600 different Pokémon spread throughout the area.
Multiple photo galleries showcase rides, live performances, specialty food stands, and exclusive merchandise. One of the standout attractions is a fully recreated Pokémon Center inspired by the in-game location, where visitors can experience a healing scene with Nurse Joy rather than a standard retail store.

The park’s grand opening is set for February 5, located inside Tokyo’s Yomiuriland amusement park. PokéPark Kanto spans approximately 26,000 square meters and is divided into two main areas: Pokémon Forest and Sedge Town.
Pokémon Forest stretches roughly 500 meters and features varied environments designed to make Pokémon feel as if they are living naturally within the space. Sedge Town serves as the park’s central hub, housing major attractions such as a Pokémon Center, PokéMart, Sedge Gym, the Primarina Fountain, a Pokémon parade, and additional interactive experiences.
Despite its name referencing the original Kanto region from the first Pokémon games, the park includes Pokémon from multiple regions, creating a diverse lineup that appeals to fans across generations.
First announced in July 2025, PokéPark Kanto is positioned as a major milestone for the Pokémon franchise, blending immersive world-building with real-world exploration.
