Phantom Busters Manga Goes on Short Hiatus
Fans of Phantom Busters will need to wait a little longer for new chapters. Neoshoco’s supernatural school series is taking a two-issue break and will not appear in the March and April releases of Jump SQ.. The manga is currently scheduled to return with the magazine’s May issue, arriving on April 3.
The creator also shared a personal update explaining that the hiatus was initially planned for later, but heavy workload made it physically and mentally impossible to complete the manuscript in time. Neoshoco reassured readers that the break is not due to illness, but rather a need to recover from exhaustion.

The story follows high-achieving student Eugene Korekishi and his unusual classmate Mogari Shishikuno, an exorcist who literally eats ghosts instead of fighting them. Together with their growing club members, the group navigates a chaotic high school life filled with spirits, comedy, and unexpected friendships.
The series launched in 2023 and has continued to build momentum, with new volumes releasing regularly while the manga expands its quirky supernatural world. With the brief pause, readers can expect the creator to return refreshed as the story moves forward.
