Supernatural Horror Manga by Muneyuki Kaneshiro and Akeji Nishida Concludes with 14 Volumes

The supernatural horror manga follows Shintarō Jagasaki, a disillusioned police officer stuck in a monotonous job and an uneventful personal life. Living with his girlfriend and drifting toward a conventional future of marriage and family, Jagasaki feels trapped by routine. Everything changes abruptly when a grotesque creature appears on a train, triggering a bizarre transformation that grants him the ability to fire shots directly from his right hand.

Written by Muneyuki Kaneshiro and illustrated by Akeji Nishida, the manga began serialization in Shogakukan’s Weekly Big Comic Spirits in February 2017 and concluded in November 2021. The complete story spans 14 collected volumes.

Kaneshiro is widely recognized for his work on As the Gods Will (with artist Akeji Fujimura) and the globally popular Blue Lock, illustrated by Yūsuke Nomura. Blue Lock is currently available in English through both Kodansha Comics and K MANGA, while As the Gods Will: The Second Series has also received an English release. Additionally, Yen Press publishes Kaneshiro’s Super Ball Girls, created with Akira Hiramoto.

Nishida is also known for creating the I Am a Hero in Nagasaki spinoff, expanding on Kengo Hanazawa’s I Am a Hero universe.
