Re/Member: The Last Night Heads for Its Final Chapter

The nightmare is almost over.
It has been revealed that Re/Member: The Last Night (Karada Sagashi The Last Night), the survival horror manga by Welzard and Katsutoshi Murase, will officially end with its next chapter on January 27.

The announcement came with the release of the manga’s 23rd chapter, signaling that the story’s final countdown has begun. Set in a deserted amusement park after midnight, this installment has pushed the series’ trademark tension and fear to new levels, blending psychological dread with relentless survival stakes.

The manga is closely tied to the live-action continuation of the franchise, serving as a bridge toward the recent film sequel. With Murase once again handling the artwork and Welzard credited for the original concept, the series maintains the unsettling atmosphere that made Karada Sagashi a standout horror title.

Originally launched in July 2025, The Last Night brought back familiar creative names, including Harumi Doki on screenplay duties alongside producer Yūki Hara, strengthening its connection to the film adaptation. Despite its relatively short run, the manga has left a strong impression as a compact, high-intensity chapter in the larger Karada Sagashi universe.

The franchise itself has a long and influential history, beginning as a cellphone novel before evolving into multiple manga series, anime shorts, and live-action films. Known for its cruel rules, looping deaths, and the terrifying presence of the Red Person, Karada Sagashi has remained one of modern horror manga’s most recognizable names.

As Re/Member: The Last Night prepares to close its gates for good, readers are bracing for a final chapter that promises one last rush of fear before the lights finally go out.
