The monsters aren’t done yet.
Apple TV and Legendary Entertainment have dropped the first teaser trailer for Season 2 of Monarch: Legacy of Monsters, and the MonsterVerse is officially gearing up for its next big chapter.
Season 2 will premiere on February 27, with new episodes airing every Friday, promising another weekly dose of secrets, Titans, and world-shaking revelations.
Fan-favorite Kurt Russell returns as Lee Shaw, continuing his mysterious journey through Monarch’s shadowy history. Joining the cast is Amber Midthunder (Prey), who steps in as Isabel, a powerful and sharp-minded businesswoman whose presence hints at new conflicts beyond just giant monsters.

The series is a key part of Legendary’s expanding MonsterVerse plans, with multiple spinoffs already in motion. In fact, a prequel series is currently in development, with Joby Harold returning as showrunner. The project also brings together executive producers from both Legendary and TOHO, reinforcing the franchise’s deep roots.
First launched in November 2023, Monarch: Legacy of Monsters explores the aftermath of the 2014 Godzilla film, weaving together family drama, global conspiracies, and the terrifying reality of a world where Titans are very real. With its dual-timeline storytelling and strong cast, the show quickly carved out its own identity within the MonsterVerse.
As the universe continues to grow on both the big and small screen, Season 2 looks ready to raise the stakes even higher—because when Titans walk the Earth, nothing ever stays quiet for long.
