Fans of I’m in Love with the Villainess have something sweet to look forward to. Series author Inori revealed that the story will continue with a brand-new sequel novel titled Furimukinasai, Watakushi ni! (Turn Your Gaze Toward Me!), which is set to launch digitally with its first volume on January 26. Longtime collaborator Hanagata returns once again as the illustrator.
The sequel shifts the spotlight to Aleah, the daughter of Rae and Claire, opening a new chapter for the beloved yuri fantasy world and exploring what the next generation looks like after the original story’s conclusion.

Inori originally began serializing I’m in Love with the Villainess on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō website in January 2018, wrapping it up in February 2021. The series was later published in digital light novel volumes by GL Bunko, ending with its fifth and final volume in August 2021. The novels have since found an international audience through official English releases.
The story also received a manga adaptation by AONOSHIMO, which launched in Comic Yuri Hime magazine in June 2020 and is still ongoing. The manga reached its 11th volume in October 2025, further cementing the series’ popularity.

In addition, Inori expanded the universe with a spinoff titled Heimin no Kuse ni Namaikina!, which retells the story from Claire’s perspective. That spinoff was published digitally in three volumes and later released overseas under the title I’m in Love with the Villainess Spin-Off: She’s So Cheeky for a Commoner.
With a sequel now officially on the way, I’m in Love with the Villainess is proving that its story—and its fans’ love for these characters—is far from over.
