Full Clearing Another World Under a Goddess With Zero Believers Gets TV Anime Adaptation

A new isekai anime project has officially entered production. During the “Overlap Bunko All-Star Gathering Special 2026 Part I” livestream, it was announced that Isle Osaki’s light novel series Full Clearing Another World under a Goddess with Zero Believers will receive a television anime adaptation.

The announcement confirms that the project has been green-lit, though details such as the studio, staff, and broadcast window have yet to be revealed. To mark the occasion, Tam-U, the original light novel illustrator, and Hakuto Shiroi, who handles the manga adaptation’s artwork, each shared celebratory illustrations following the reveal.

Full Clearing Another World under a Goddess with Zero Believers is known for its unconventional take on the isekai formula, centering on a protagonist who teams up with an underpowered goddess lacking followers, approaching the fantasy world more like a game to be systematically cleared rather than a traditional hero’s journey.

Further information about the anime—including cast, staff, and release timing—is expected to be announced at a later date

J-Novel Club has picked up the English rights to both the light novel and manga versions of a popular isekai fantasy series that flips the usual power fantasy on its head.

At the center of the story is Makoto Takatsuki, a hardcore RPG enthusiast whose life is turned upside down when his entire class is suddenly transported to another world after a fatal accident. In this new realm, gods bestow overwhelming abilities upon the newcomers—at least, that’s how it’s supposed to work. Makoto instead ends up with disastrously low stats, underwhelming skills, and a short life expectancy of just ten years.

While his classmates rise as heroes, Makoto is forced to survive as a barely capable apprentice mage. His situation begins to change when he forms an unexpected bond with Noah, a lesser goddess trapped within a dungeon. Choosing Makoto as her first and only follower, Noah grants him divine support, pushing him onto a difficult but determined path of growth.

Rather than relying on raw power, Makoto uses experience, creativity, and unorthodox tactics to overcome challenges far beyond his apparent limits. The series leans heavily into the idea that knowledge and persistence can rival brute strength—especially when the world itself seems stacked against you.

The original story was first published online by Osaki in 2018 before being picked up by Overlap Bunko for print release in 2019. The light novel series has since grown to 12 volumes, while the manga adaptation, illustrated by Shiroi, began serialization in 2020 and currently stands at nine volumes. J-Novel Club released the latest English volume in October 2024.
