Konami Developing New Silent Hill Game Alongside First Remake
Japanese publisher Konami confirmed in its third-quarter earnings report for fiscal year 2026 that a brand-new title in the Silent Hill franchise is currently in development, in addition to the previously announced remake of the series’ first game.
Series producer Motoi Okamoto had already hinted in a December interview that the company aims to release a new Silent Hill entry on a regular basis, potentially on a yearly cadence.
The latest release, Silent Hill f, launched on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on September 25 and surpassed one million units shipped worldwide within a day of release, combining physical copies and digital downloads.

Polish developer Bloober Team, which worked on recent projects in the franchise, announced in February 2025 that it had begun another collaboration with Konami following the success of Silent Hill 2 Remake, released for PlayStation 5 and PC in October 2024.
The original Silent Hill 2 first debuted on PlayStation 2 in 2001 and later received ports for Xbox and PC. The broader Silent Hill franchise began in 1999 and has since expanded with multiple sequels and spin-offs, including Silent Hill: Downpour, Silent Hill: Book of Memories, and the short free-to-play experience Silent Hill: The Short Message.
The announcement reinforces Konami’s ongoing push to revive the iconic survival-horror series with new titles, remakes, and collaborations.
