Inoue is widely known for Midori no Hibi, which ran in Weekly Shōnen Sunday from 2002 to 2004 and later inspired a 2004 anime adaptation. Since then, the author has continued experimenting with different styles through titles such as Shitei Bōryoku Shōjo Shiomi-chan, Aho Genome ~Samuzaka Satanic Hair~, and Amō Amane wa Amakunai.
With its space setting and action-heavy premise, Space Leader Jagasaki is shaping up to be a colorful new addition to Inoue’s catalog when it hits shelves later this month.
